Set 1: The First 2 Sounds Intro
In this lesson, we focus on a pair of sounds intended to clear stagnation and improve the flow of Qi in the upper and lower body.
Ong (Aung)
With this sound, we focus on clearing any stagnation in the upper body and improving the flow of Qi through the lungs, heart, upper back, arms, throat, face, neck and head. If you feel light-headed while chanting, try a lower tone, relax the exhalation or try practicing while seated until you feel a good rhythm with the practice.
Ah
With this sound, we focus on clearing and grounding the lower body. Grounding is essential for feeling centered and balanced, especially for women who tend to be more affected by emotional and energetic fluctuations. By working with specific sound frequencies and vibrations, we can enhance our connection to the lower body.
Through this practice, we can release any stagnant energy, emotions, or tension held in the digestive area, mid/low back, pelvic area and legs/feet. Grounding the lower body can help improve stability, increase vitality, and promote a sense of security and foundation.
Key Lesson Concepts:
- Aung and Ah for upper and lower body vibration of stagnant energy
- Adjust your tone, relax your breath or practice while seated if this brings more comfort at first
- Grounding the lower body can improve stability, increase vitality, and promote a sense of security
